Katsina State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has reaffirmed its continuous commitments toward facilitating meaningful projects for Local government councils to uplift the living condition of the common man
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Professor Badamasi Lawal made this known in a message in Kankara shortly after inspecting phase Ii projects across Funtua Senatorial District.
The Commissioner represented by the Director Admin and Supply of the Ministry Alhaji Salisu Yakubu Katsina expressed gratitude and appreciation to the local councils chairmen for handling the projects diligently.
He pointed out that the foresight and commitment exhibited by the State Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda towards reviving the image of local government councils across the state can not be overemphasised.
He therefore emphasised the need for local councils chairmen to strictly comply with the Bill of Quantity of any project approved for them, as according to him, vigorous inspection will continue to be the order of the day.
In all the 11 local government areas visited, the local councils chairmen registered their satisfaction on the manner they were being handle by both the Governor and the Commissioner of the Ministry, and pledged to continue with the good terrain.
