KEBBI recruits 2,000 teachers

The Government of KEBBI State has planned to recruit  additional teachers to improve it manpower in order adress the education delivery challenges.

e added that government would soon recruit additional 2,000 teachers to serve across the secondary schools in the state.

The Federal Government has handed over three Junior Secondary Vocational Schools to Kebbi State Government.

The development was aimed at reduction of number of out-of- School Children in the state.

The schools include Government Junior Secondary Vocational School at Nagari College premises in Birnin Kebbi,  Vocational Junior Secondary School in Bagudo and Junior Secondary Vocational School in Ngaski.

While handing over the schools at Nagari College in Birnin Kebbi, Minister of State for Education,  Yusuf Tanko Sununu said,  the present administration under President Bola Tinubu initiated the construction of the Schools in order to reduce the number of Out- Of- School Children across the country.

 Speaking earlier,  Executive Secretary Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) , Hamid Bobboyi explained that the Federal Government was developing the academic and entrepreneurship potential of youths so as to make them productive and self-employed through Vocational Skills.

Governor  Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu while Commending the gesture by the Federal government disclosed that his administration within one year has spent N8 billion in the construction,  renovation and furnishings of both Junior and senior secondary schools in Kebbi State.
