The Federal University Birnin Kebbi, FUBK has matriculated 2095 students
The students were administered the oath governing the university’s rules and regulations before the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Muhammad Zaiyan Unar at the Senate Building premises of the university.
Speaking at the occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Muhammad Zaiyan Umar enjoined the new students to famirilize themselves with the rules and regulations governing the institution.
Prof Umar also charged them to contribute their quotes to the creation and sustenance of the university to greater heights by avoiding negative behaviours such as involvement in cultism, examination malpractice and disrespect to the constitute authority.
He disclosed that FUBK, which started academic activities in 2014 with 3 Faculties, hosting a total of 24 degree courses was now running 37 degree programmes in 5 faculties .
The. VC said the Federal government has approved the upgrade of Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kebbi to serve as the clinical training facility for medical students at the College of Health Sciences of the University.
