Men of Hisba Command have arrested six people for raping a twelve year old in Argungu town under Argungu local government area of Kebbi state.
A director with the command who doesn’t want his name in print, told journalists yesterday at the Command’s headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, Capital of Kebbi state that the suspects according to the report from Argungu Hisba office were arrested from various locations of their hideout where they committed the crimes.
The source said all the suspects have confessed to committed the offence during the interrogation by the officials of the command.
The names of the suspects are; isah Isma’il 60 yrs, Ibrahim Umar 45, Mustapha Sani 44, Dauda Garba 40, Tukur Bawa 38 and Muktar Muhammed 28 while the victim Basira Kabiru 12 was years.
The suspects and victim were handed over to the criminal investigation department of the police for further action.
Spokesman of the police, SP Nafi’u Abubakr were under the custody of police pending the final investigation of the CID.
