By Mohammad Lawal MaikudiGovernor Dikko Umar Radda is assuaging the feelings of his people by responding to their needs and desires, especially in the areas of security availability of food which their major challenges currently.
The observation was made by Alhaji Sabi’u Sa’idu Mahuta, a critical stakeholder in Katsina politics while interacting with the media on Sunday April 7.
Recall that Katsina State, is among the seven Northwest states facing serious security and food challenges which is grounding socio-economic endeavours of the people.
When Dr. Radda came to power in 2023, he vowed to use all available means to secure the lives and property of residents of the state
Alhaji Sa’idu Sabi’u Mahuta, an Executive Director, A. A. Ranao Oil and Gas and the ‘Sardauna Deneji’ was a member of the committee that oversaw the distribution of 1000 25kG bags of rice and a token of N5,000 to 1,000 beneficiaries drawn from the 10 electoral wards in Kafur Local Government ,Saturday.
The exercise was conducted successfully with all beneficiaries served with what were earmarked for them.
The beneficiaries were mostly vulnerable women and elderly men carefully selected to cushing the hardship they face. The gesture was meant to assist them to celebrate Ramadhan and Eid el fitr..
While commending the Katsina Government for the gesture, Alhaji Sabi’u called on the people of Kafur Local Government and the entire residents of Katsina State to continue reciprocating the gesture by supporting and cooperating with the government to deliver on its promises and mandate of purposeful and responsive leadership.
People should continue to work hard in their chosen field of endeavour and supply security agencies with relevant intelligence about suspicious moves by persons who might be criminally minded so that prompt action is taken to deal with such situations.
He also charged the wealthy among the society to assist the needy as that emboldens social relations and harmoniums living.
