Education Management Training: Hon Garima applauds Gov Idris

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has been applauded for boosting basic education delivery mechanism in Kebbi State

The applause was given by Hon Umar Maigandi Garima, the Permanent Board Member 1 with the Kebbi State Universal Basic Education Board (KBSUBEB) and Coordinator Kauran Abdullahin Gwandu( Danmalikin Dakingari) on sponsoring 17 members of the board including the permanent secretary ministry for Basic Education to a 5-day training on sustainability on both Girl-child Education and Almajiri known as Tsangaya school under BESDA in Kigali, capital of Rwanda.

Speaking with Journalists in his residence in Badariya area in Birnin Kebbi metropolis shortly,  Garima said the training is to complement the efforts of the governor in tackling both Girl-child Education and Almajiri, known as Tsangaya school under BESDA across the state.

He also disclosed that governor Idris sponsored the training for the sustainability of Girl-child Education and Almajiri known as Tsangaya education in the state.

He added that the board under Prof Khalid Jega has selected four major Qur’anic schools in Yauri, Birnin Kebbi,  Zuru and Argungu and recruited 2,889 facilitators for the immediate commencement of imparting Western education to the pupils of the schools.

According to him,  government, through SUBEB will spend about N1billion in modernising the pilot Tsangaya schools for sustainability of the training programme under BESDA.

Garima also disclosed that the board also earmarked forty schools from each of the twenty one local government areas of the state for both Girl-child Education and Almajiri education where pupils will be enrolled in the 4- selected pilot schools and be taught western education .

Garima however commended the efforts of the chairman of the board,  Prof Khalid Jega for carrying everybody along in discharging affairs of SUBEB.
