Gov Radda commissions Kafur-Mahuta road

The Government of Katsina State has commissioned a 23-kilometre Kafur-Gurai-Buguwa-Sabon Layi-Siran-Kagara-Mahuta Road and the five kilometre Gurai-Rugoji Road constructed at about N6 billion in Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The commissioning ceremony was performed by Gov Dikko Radda at the week end. The project was awarded by the previous government in 2021 but now completed and paid by this administration.

According to the Governor, governance is a continuous process, stressing that his administration will complete all projects awarded and pay all liabilities for completed contracts awarded by the previous government.

The governor further disclosed that, under his leadership, adequate attention would be given to road infrastructure adding that, his administration will invest heavily on projects have multiplier effect on the socio-econmic lives of people in the state.

He commended the firm that carried out the contract; Mother Cat Construction and Civil Engineering works, for executing quality work and for timely completion of the contract within stipulated time.

Dr Rabiu Magaji Ingawa, the state Commissioner of Works and Housing, earlier, called on the beneficiaries of the road projects to reciprocate government gesture by making good use of the roads.

Alhaji Abdulrahaman Abdullahi Rabe, the Dan Galadiman Katsina, District Head of Kafur who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed appreciation to the administration of Malam Dikko Radda for completing the road Projects.

He said the roads will have significant impact on economic activities of locals in the area and to people in the state at large
