Chinese manufacturing company BROAD Group announced building a ten-story apartment building, called the Living Building, in just over a day, spending specifically 28 hours and 45 minutes.

The news was amazing, shocking, and very hard for some people to agree but it was a reality. China did it and it was a complete show of how advanced construction has become, especially with prefabricated buildings.

How the BROAD Group did it was seen as magic but the complaint explained it made the building parts somewhere else and quickly put them together on-site. This saved a lot of time and money. Even though they worked fast, they ensured everything was safe and strong.

This incredible accomplishment proves that China is good at using new ideas in construction. They can handle tough city problems quickly and accurately.

The Living Building is located in the company’s headquarters location in Changsha, China. A timelapse released by Broad Group shows the apartment block being erected in just 28 hours and 45 minutes with the help of three cranes and a large team of workers in June 2021.

In 2012, the company unveiled plans to build the tallest building in the world, named Sky City in Changsha, which would have been made using prefabrication techniques, it was planned to be completed in just nine months. The project was never realized due to safety concerns and lack of government approval. Sky City’s vacant foundations have since been repurposed by local villages as a fish farm.
