Former Senate President, Sen Adolphus Wabara has been confirmed as the new Board of Trustees, BoT chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party. PDP while Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi was appointed the BoT Secretary. replacing Kabiru Tanimu Turaki.
This announcement was made at the end of the 76th BoT meeting held at Wadata Plaza in Abuja on Tuesday.
PDP is the main opposition party in Nigeria and has been suffering from crises of various dimensions especially towards the build up to 2024 general elections.
Some faction of the party who tagged themselves G5 opposed the presidential candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Wazirin Adamawa.
The party is strategising on how to capture power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in 2027.
