Rebuilding Tudun Biri community commences

The rebuilding of Tudun Biri community in Igabi Local Government of Kaduna State by the Federal Government will commence in two weeks.

This was announced by the Governor of Kaduna State, Sen Uba Sani while addressing the National Executive and National Working Committee Meeting of Fityanul Islam of Nigeria, held at the Kaduna State University, on Saturday.

Recall that Tudun Biri community was bombed erroneously by a military drone on 3rd of December, 2023 and many persons lost their lives and properties destroyed, an incident that the community in trauma.
Gov Uba Sani said he has met with President Tinubu over the issue and the president gave his words that the project will commence in two weeks time .

“Five days ago, I met with Mr President on the need to quickly rebuild Tudun Biri and the President quickly called the Vice President and we discussed the issues and he (the President) assured me that the work will begin in two weeks’ time,” Gov Sani said.

Some of the projects billed for the community include houses, hospital, school, market and Police station.

Gov Uba Sani disclosed that the Government of Kaduna State had treated all the 75 victims who were injured in the unfortunate incident and gave them psychosocial assistance while they were being accommodated for 17 before they were allowed to go home.

The Governor, who noted that a committee headed by the Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, had been set up to manage and distribute the donations made for the community, assured that justice will be done to the people of Tudun Biri.
