The Katsina State Chapter of Solid Minerals Exploiters Association has dissolved its executives to pave way for new leaders that will run the affairs of the association.
The dissolution followed the expiration of the tenure of the leadership of the association.
Announcing the dissolution Saturday in Katsina, the Acting Chairman Board of Trustees of the association Alhaji Mustapha Abdulmumin explained that the action was in compliance with Section 11B1 as provided by the constitution of the association.
Alhaji Mustapha Abdulmumin however said that the Board of Trustees of the Association will constute an Electoral Committee that will facilitate the procedures for the election of new leaders of the association and will in due course announce the date and time for the election.
He expressed dismay over the poor role played by the dissolved executives within the period of four years of running the affairs of the association.
Alhaji Mustapha claimed that the association was expected to be one man affair during the past four years hence the need for resuscitating the association to function as expected.
Issues of importance related to the development of the association were discussed.
