The Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB is collaborating with the Nigeria Union of Teachers to move the Education Sector forward in the State
This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of the Board ,Alhaji Kabir Magaji when he received the Leadership of the Nigeria Union of Teachers on a courtesy call in his office
Alhaji Kabir Magaji who noted with great concern on the plight of the Teachers in the State especially in the areas of capacity building and welfare services, called on the leadership of the Union to urgently explore more avenues of complementing Government’s efforts in addressing these challenges
He commended the leadership of the Union for recognising the Board as partners in progress in paying the visit
Earlier,the Chairperson of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Katsina State Branch, Hajiya Rakiya Shehu Runka has said that they were in the office to familiarise themselves with the Management being partners in progress
She revealed that all necessary arrangements are on by the Union to organise series of capacity building workshop for the in House members and the Teachers both Basic and Secondary school
Hajiys Rakiya further maintained that the Union has also planned to organise a merit award for best Princpals/Headteachers, Teachers and Directors when celebrating the World Teachers Day
The Chairperson applauded and commended the Executive Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda in his bid to reposition the Education Sector in the State especially the recent recruitment of over 7,000 teachers in the State
Hajiys Rakiya shehu then assured of their unflinching support and cooperation towards revitalize the lost glory of Education in the State
