Former minister, Sadiyya Farouk arrives EFCC for interrogation

The minister of Humanitarian Affairs in Buhari administration, Sadiya Umar Farouq, has arrived at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for interrogation regarding the N44 billion  fraud in the ministry.

The investigation focuses on an alleged sum of N37,170,855,753.44 reportedly laundered during her tenure by contractor James Okwete.

Farouq took to social media on Monday morning to announce her presence at the EFCC headquarters saying “I have, at my behest, arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the invitation by the anti-graft agency to offer clarifications in respect of some issues that the commission is investigating.”
