Gov Dikko Radda appreciates KTSTA

The Katsina State Transport Authority, KTSTA has been commended for demonstrating good leadership and management in discharging its responsibility of providing safe, efficient and subsidised transport services to commuters.

The Katsina State Governor, Dr Dikko Radda made the commendation during the unveiling of seven new buses, a recent addition to the authority’s transport fleet, held at the Government House affirming government  commitment to provide financial support for the timely completion of the new site designated for the authority along Katsina-Kano road.

The provision of the new site is  aimed at address the challenges faced at the current KTSTA park in accommodating the increasing number of vehicles and passengers, saying the development will ultimately enhance the convenience of travelers relying on the authority’s services.

Gov Dikko urged other government agencies in the state to follow suit, emphasizing that adopting such practices would contribute to the envisioned future development of Katsina State

Earlier, the General Manger of the authority, Alhaji Haruna Musa Rugoji said the increase in pump price due to fuel subsidy withdrawal,about sixty percent of the transport fare generated now goes for fuel.

But notwithstanding these challenges, Rugoji disclosed that the acquisition of seven new buses was made possible through funds generated by the authority in the past seven months under Governor Dikko Radda’s administration.

Expressing gratitude, Alhaji Haruna Rugoji thanked the state governor for the procurement of an additional forty buses, showcasing a dedicated effort to enhance transport services in the state.
