Governor Radda deserves a place in Guiness  Book of Records  –Prof Badamasi

Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda has been recommended for inclusion into Guinness Book of Records.

This is for his unprecedented records in areas of security, education and other aspects of human endeavours.

State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanchi gave the recommendation in Jibia while speaking at the commissioning of Theater Complex and Pediatric Ward of twenty capacity constructed by the Chairman of Jibia ni local government area Alhaji Bishir Sabi’u Maitan at Jibia Health Centre.

The Commissioner claimed that Dikko Radda was the first Governor in Nigeria to recruit 7,325 teachers within100 days in office, which he described as the best palliative to people of the state.

Professor Badamasi further explained that in an effort to curb insecurity, 1240 Civilian JTF were recruited from eight LGAs, trained and equipped with modern weapons.

He also said Governor Radda secured N7.8N for the procurement of weapons, vehicles and other security equipments apart from forming intensive security team to fight insecurity across the state .

In an effort to cushioning the effect of removal of oil subsidy, the Commissioner claimed that the Governor had purchased additional 40 buses for KTSTA to ease transportation, beside expending N2bn for the purchase of Maize and Rice for distribution to to the less privileged.

Professor Badamasi however pointed out that Malam Dikko Radda currently secured N1.8bn for distribution to all the 34 LGAs of the state to embark on viable projects for the betterment of the people.

He commended the efforts of the Chairman of Jibia LGA Alhaji Bishir Sabi’u Maitan for utilising the funds as expected and described him as one of the best local councils Chairmen in the state.

On his part, the Chairman of Jibia LGA Bishir Sabiu Maitan said the projects are to ease people’s suffering especially on health related issues. and also to compliment the efforts of the State Government.

The Chairman explained that, the projects were executed based on the contribution and support of people of the area and it was executed with internally generated revenue in the area.

In their separate remarks, Dan Madamin Katsina District head of Daddara Usman Usman Nagogo and Sarkin Arewan Katsina District Head of Jibia Muhammad Rabe Rabi’u said, the importance of the project cannot be over emphasized hence the need for people to reciprocate the gesture by supporting government policies and programmes.
