FCTA recovers N1.9 billion in ground rent

The Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA has recovered N1.9 billion after the FCT minister Barrister Nyesom Wike threatened to revoke properties of those who defaulted in payment of ground rents after two weeks ultimatum.

The headquarters of the Abuja Geographic Information Systems, AGIS has become busy as property owners rush to pay their debts after the directive was given.

The acting Director of the Abuja Geographic Information Systems, Isiaku Ndatsu Alfa disclosed that there has been a surge in payment of ground rent since Nyesom Wike threatened revocation and began publication of debtors.

Furthermore, he said Nyesom Wike will officially launch the online payment app which has already been developed before the end of the year.
