The Government of Katsina State has flagged off the disbursement of Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) to 49,370 beneficiaries of Adolescent Girl Initiative Learning and Enterpreneurship, AGILE in the state.
The disbursement was flagged off by the Katsina State Governor, Dr Dikko Umar Radda through their Mothers/ Caregivers:
Governor Radda was represented by Dr Abdullahi Faskari, the Secretary to the state government.
The event took place at the Premises of Muhammadu Dodo Model Primary School, Layout, Katsina, Katsina State on Thursday 7th September 2023.
The project started disbursement of the CCT from the first cohort of 16,983 beneficiaries, 2nd cohort with 37,758 beneficiaries, and the 3rd cohort of 49,370 beneficiaries.
The funds were disbursed through their mothers and caregivers after signing an indemnity to ensure the students attended school at a minimum of 80%. Each beneficiary from Primary 6 of the last academic session received the sum of N5,000 for preparation to transit to JSS 1 and N10,000 after registration and obtaining an admission number in the new class. A student of JSS 3 of the last academic session received N5,000 for preparation to transit to SS 1 and N15,000 after registration and obtaining an admission number in the new class.

Similarly, all the beneficiaries will continue to receive N5,000 each for the successful completion of each term until completion of that level of education.
Members of the communities especially SBMCs were requested to ensure compliance with guidelines during the identification and selection of the right beneficiaries. We know there are many challenges and are gradually addressing them. Your support is highly needed in this regard.
The CCT intervention has so far resulted in a return of 39,691 girls back to school from June 2022 to June 2023.
