The Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Zaria has promoted 54 members of the academic staff to professors and readers.
The development was announced by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, at the 526th (Regular) meeting of Senate held on Thursday, saying their elevation was upon receipt of positive reports from external assessors.
The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the newly promoted staff and urged them to work towards the enhancement of the University standing in teaching, research and community service.
