The Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS holds an emergency meeting today in Abuja, Nigeria to celebrate on the political instability in Niger Republic.
President Bola Tinubu, in his capacity as Chairman, hosts the meeting as Dele Alake, Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communication and Strategy, in a terse statement on Friday, noted that the meeting comes up on Sunday in Abuja.
The statement reads in part, “Following the coup in Republic of Niger that has upended the constitutional political leadership in the West African country, the Chairman of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Bola Tinubu will host a special meeting of the regional leaders on Sunday, July 30 in Abuja
