In efforts to restore sanity to Niger Republic. the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS
has reeled out measures that include declaration of No Fly Zone, sealing of land, sea and air borders, freezing of all the country’s accounts with member nations.
The measures are necessary following the attempted coup in the country by the National Guard during which President Mohamed Bazoum and members of his family were taken hostage.
