The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has warned its operatives against revealing sensitive information to the public
The warning was given by the Acting chairman of the anti-grft agency, Abdulkarim Chukkol claiming that it is part of the hiring process for employees to swear to an oath of secrecy, emphasizing that anyone found guilty would be fired.
Chukkol gave the warning on Friday at the EFCC Detective Superintendent Course 9 graduation event at the EFCC Academy in Karu, Abuja.
He said that 318 cadets took part in the program, and added that they would be absorbed into the commission.
According to Chukkol, the action was taken to increase the commission’s staff to bring the country’s escalating corruption to a halt.
He bemoaned the rising tide of corruption in both the public and commercial sectors and insisted that the commission’s employees would fight back fiercely through enforcement.

George Ekpungu, Secretary to the Commission, charged the graduates to keep the highest standards of integrity and honesty and to display commendable standards of etiquette wherever they are.
Ayo Olowoniyi, the Commandant of the EFCC Academy, had earlier urged the cadets to be upright wherever they went
