A prominent spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Kaduna State, Alhaji Yakubu Lere has quit the party to join the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Lere converted his decision through a letter he wrote to ward leadership in Lere Local Government dated July 14, 2023.
He gave his reasons for abandoning the PDP because his friend for over 40 years, Sen Uba Sani, is the governor of Kaduna State and he therefore cannot remain in the opposition.
He however thanked the party for the supported it accorded him in the last 12 years.
