Nigerian Christian Clergymen men have condemned burning the Holy Qur’an in Sweden
The Quran burning which on Wednesday took place as Muslims around the world celebrated the first day of Eid al-Adha, one of the most important festivals in the Muslim calendar
The co-director of interfaith mediation center Rev Dr James Nobel and Pastor Yohanna Buru the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, Kaduna condemned the attitude of Swedish government for allowing the burning of the holy book for the second time.
The clergy men said they are ready to defend the Holy Quran at any time, any place because Islam preaches peace ,love and unity to all mankind
In their separate responses and reactions over the incidence , they condemned the attitude in strong terms, while saying that this is not good for peace and stability in the world .
According to them the Sweden Quran burning has sparked anger across Muslim world,and hence the need to condemn it, while calling on world peace leader’s to look into the situation.
“we as Christian leaders from northern part of Nigeria are not truly happy at all over this ugly incidence and called on world leader to look into the situation ”
“we are equally urging the entire Arab world and the rest of Muslims Universe for forgiveness ”
“we have to condemn this attitude simply because this is not Christianity
