The Project Consultant Messrs S.Y. Engineering Ltd, engaged by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Directorate (RUWASSA) on public conveniences has been disengaged due to some infractions and lapses observed in the terms of engagements since November, 2021.
A release signed and issued by Karo Sani Bala Head, Media and Publicity, FCT RUWASSA dated 22nd June, 2023 said the disengagement was contained in a letter addressed to the Managing Director of Messrs S.Y. Engineering Ltd, Alh. Kabiru Usman, Dan Saran Zazzau Suleja, dated 1st June, 2023, and signed by the Executive Director, FCT RUWASSA, Dr. M. A. Dan-Hassan.
The Directorate noted that the firm has failed to consummate and execute requisite documents to establish the terms of engagement and agreement between the two parties, leading to poor coordination and management of the Project.
It was against this backdrop, the letter added, RUWASSA withdrew the earlier offer of engagement made to S.Y. Engineering Ltd, and with this development, the firm has no capacity to act for or on behalf of RUWASSA in anything relating to public Convenience Project and other matters in the FCT.
