The new governor of Zamfara State, Dr Dauda Lawal has lamented that he met an empty treasury from the immediate past administration but pledged to focus his attention on security, agriculture, health and human development.
Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare made the state when he was sworn in as the 5th executive governor of Zamfara State and is expected to pilot the affairs of the state in the next four years.
The oath of offices for the governor and his Deputy was administered by the State’s chief judge, justice Kulu Aliyu.

But Gov Dauda Lawal appealed to the people to support him and bear with his administration because he inherited huge liabilities, assuring them that he would do everything within his constitutional power not to disappoint them as they massively voted for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
