The Katsina State Governor, Rr Hon Aminu Bello Masari has inaugurated a four-member Katsina State House of Assembly Commission with former Speaker, Rt Hon Sani Saidu Fago as head
The Governor urged the members of the Commission to put their legislative experiences to bear to ensure that, the welfare of the workers are protected.
He said the inauguration of the Commission has become necessary as it is part of the requirements needed to give the legislative arm the desired autonomy, as obtained in the Executive and Judicial arms.
Gov Masari said the Commission is saddled with the responsibility of regulating the affairs of staff under the legislative arm as being carried out.
He however maintained that the Commission is also mandated to regulate employment and discipline of the state assembly workforce and attend to other matters that may affect their system of operations for the development and improvement of the Commission
The outgoing Katsina State Governor has also sworn in three new permanent secretaries into the state civil service.
The new Permanent Secretaries are Mustapha Abdullahi Babi, TPL Aminu Mijinyawa and QS Samaila Umar Rogoji.
In a brief remarks shortly after swearing in the new appointees at the Government House Council chambers, Katsina, Gov Masari urged them to abide by the oath of office taken.
He also prayed Allah to give them the wisdom and knowledge to carry out their assignment diligently for the development of the state.
