Mr. Akan Udofia, who recently defected to the APC from PDP, was earlier announced as the party’s governorship candidate on 27 May but Hhs name is missing from the recently released list. In Ogun State, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP has no gubernatorial candidate as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), indicated on the list of those cleared to contest the 2023 elections in the state.
